Accessibility Directive 2025: am I compliant?

From June 28, 2025, companies with more than 10 employees and annual sales in excess of €2m will have to ensure that their digital services are accessible to all.

🔹 Is my service concerned?

  • New digital services will have to comply as soon as they are launched.
  • Existing services have 5 years, until June 28, 2030, to comply.

🔹 My obligations:

  1. Comply with accessibility requirements, guaranteed by an audit.
  2. Publish a multi-year accessibility plan, with annual action plans.
  3. Display an accessibility declaration and specify the level of compliance on the home page of your digital services.
  4. Make it easy for users to report accessibility breaches.

🔹 Digital accessibility means having a service :

  • Perceptible: understandable to all, whatever their sensory perception.
  • Usable: navigable and readable in a variety of conditions.
  • Understandable: without unexpected behavior.
  • Robust: for example, compatible with assistive tools.

🔹 Risks in the event of non-compliance:
Companies that fail to meet these obligations face financial penalties of up to €50,000 for service non-compliance, and up to €25,000 for non-compliance with additional obligations.
HeadMind Partners teams are trained in digital accessibility, and can support you every step of the way: audits, accessibility strategy, action plans and training.
