The power of artificial intelligence in webmarketing
For several years now, artificial intelligence (AI) has been gaining considerable ground in today’s society. That is why it is vital to understand its importance, its functionalities and, consequently, how to exploit it to get the best benefits and make it as efficient as possible.
To do this, you need to know how to set up your requests so that you get the answers you want, or else the tool can become too complex and time-consuming. Take ChatGPT, for example, which is currently suffering from a decline in use due to its complexity. Let’s dive deeper into this topic to better understand the implications.
1. Concrete use and AI prompts
ChatGPT, Bard, Dall-E, Midjourney… Does this ring a bell? These are all textual and/or visual generative AI Tools. Today, we will be focusing mainly on ChatGPT to help you get the most out of it, including timesaving. To do this, you need to pay particular attention to the prompts, as these are what will guide the quality of the responses provided by the AI and bypass the weaknesses of these tools.
First things first, what is a prompt? A creative and unique way of stimulating AI to generate meaningful and interesting responses.
There are 3 main types of prompt:
Simple prompt:
It comes to us spontaneously, intuitively and calls for a simple answer. This prompt is simple, but will consequently provide simple answers that are not exhaustive or controversial.
They can be used, for example, to request a definition, a translation, a correction or to find out more about a concept, a historical fact, etc.
Guided prompt:
It allows you to specify your request, is much more detailed and as a result, increase the quality and relevance of the answers provided by the AI tool. Indeed, without the guided prompt, we often end up with rather poor responses that require several requests before we get a satisfying answer, whereas one of the objectives of using AI tools is to save time.
The guided prompt is structured as follow:
An objective + A role + A context + A framework + An example (+ Possibly a choice of plugin)
They can be used, for example, in the creation of complex, structured content, in the creation of original content, or as an aid to reflection.
Iterative prompt:
It is a guided query that generates an initial response, on the basis of which a new prompt is created, structured in the same way as the guided one, to enrich the query by giving the tool more context. It is used for long tasks or content, such as the creation of a blog article, a book, the development of a marketing plan or a data analysis.
This type of prompt can be complemented by the Advanced Beta Analysis function, which allows you to load content and external data to feed the tool with more content and make a query based on this external data.
However, this query is not to be used with sensitive data and is to be used as a support and not as an exclusive decision-maker.
2. Good practices
Several types of prompt can be used to create your request, leaving you to judge which type best suits your needs. However, whatever type you choose, there are a few good practices you should always follow. Below are a few examples of those you may adopt when writing requests:
- Giving the tool a role: embodying the tool and specifying the sponsor
- Giving an objective: specifying use and target
- Expected format: the type of response expected, as well as technical aspects such as number or tone.
- Make a precise request: include a point of view
- Introduce a target: as specific as possible
- Give examples of previous content
In addition, do not forget to save your prompts, categorize them and don’t hesitate to use customizable variables.
Finally, AI tools are within everyone’s reach, and will save you time while providing you with qualitative answers. These tools can automate certain tasks, but it is important to always control the content generated.
Furthermore, as a company specializing in cybersecurity consultancy and digital transformation, Headmind Partners can only advise you to get advantage of these useful tools and if you do so, to inform your customers about the use of AI tools, and not to use confidential information or personal data.
